Welcome to The Resilient Movement Blog: Meet Alex Effer
Nov 20, 2023Hello, I'm Alex Effer, a Certified Exercise Physiologist and the Founder of Resilient Education. With over a decade of experience in the training and rehabilitation space, I've embarked on a mission to share the wealth of knowledge I've gained over the
Long before the days of Instagram and Tiktok, I would sign up for blog forums, listen to podcasts, and attend courses from professionals I respected and wanted to think like. I was constantly reading books and taking courses recommended by these mentors. This passion for acquiring knowledge led me to fly across North America, visiting and connecting with the experts who inspired me. Even just spending the day watching how they worked, programmed and ran their facility was impactful to my development.
After a decade of navigating the complexities of the human body, I've reached a point where I'm ready to share what I have found effective with my clients and those I have consulted for. I want this blog to serve as a hub for the Resilient Community members, offering long-form content on topics discussed on Instagram, podcasts, and in my Resilient education Courses and Mentorships. This is my new platform to share the insights and innovative approaches to movement, assessment, and biomechanics that I've developed over the years.
The primary audience for my blog includes trainers, therapists, movement specialists/enthusiasts and those who are trying to understand the “why” behind how their body moves… or lack thereof. I understand the challenges of starting out in the industry, and my goal is to provide you, my readers, with the resource that I wish I had when I began. Resilient Education is not just about eliminating pain and instilling newfound confidence in clients—it's about reshaping the knowledge and perspective for professionals.
Together, we will break down complex concepts such as: Biomechanics, posture, pain-free movement, mobility, strength training, injury prevention, and health with the intention of simplifying it into easier, digestible information. My goal is to break down fundamental concepts of movement in an applicable way, offering a perspective that goes beyond what is taught in textbooks.
The Resilient Movement Blog will parallele my course, mentorship and training programs. We are focused on equipping professionals with a robust assessment and exercise prescription model that accelerates results.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or an enthusiast passionate about movement, there's something here for you.
Much more to come!
Keep moving,
- Alex Effer
